Last night at the City Council meeting the big deal was all about the Mayors task force on the environment. I am not sure that the Council or administration understands how big the scope of this task actually is.

Since June 1, 2009 Alberta has been leading the way in Canada with a dairy recycling program. Jugs, cartons, and single serve dairy containers can be recycled at Alberta bottle depots.

I met with the Hon. Doug Horner, MLA on Friday Oct. 16th regarding the issue of recording City Council meetings, which in turn is really a Provincial issue since the Alberta Municipal Government Act does not give much guidance to city councils on what constitutes an open meeting and they are free to set their own rules as they see fit.
